Kim works at the Center for Developing Minds assessing learning and development in children of all ages. She conducts neuropsychological, educational, and developmental evaluations to determine children’s strengths and weaknesses to best direct effective interventions.

In addition to working at the Center for Developing Minds, Kim continues to serve as a school psychologist in the San Jose area, which she has done since 1996. She has worked in a variety of school settings – from preschool through high school – where she collaborated with administrators, psychologists, specialists, teachers, outside agencies and families to coordinate effective services for children. She is an integral part of interdisciplinary teams that meet for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), Student Study Teams (SSTs), and 504 General Education Accommodation and Modification Plans.

Kim was a board member of the Santa Clara County Association of School Psychologists (SCCASP) from 2002 through 2006. While on the board, she served as President-Elect, President, and Past-President, and her duties included leading board meetings, arranging speakers for continuing education opportunities, meeting with state lobbyists regarding the direction of educational reform in California, and writing newsletter articles. She also served on the Workshop Committee for the 2006 California Association of School20Psychologists (CASP) annual convention. In 2006, she was awarded the SCCASP Meritorious Service Award.

Kim earned a M.S. and an Ed.S. in School Psychology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO). She holds a B.S. in Psychology from Nebraska Wesleyan University (NWU). She is a Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP) and is a credentialed School Psychologist in the state of California.
