Leina Ramos, M.S.W., L.C.S.W.
Child Therapist

Leina Ramos is a therapist at the Center for Developing Minds, providing counseling for children and their families. She utilizes play and talk therapy to help children who are struggling with issues of anxiety, depression, behavior problems, low self-esteem, or social problems. She also facilitates small social skills groups (“Social Climbers”) at the CDM, for children in kindergarten through 3rd grade.

Leina has worked as a child psychotherapist, conducting assessments and providing individual, family, and group therapy for almost 15 years. She has worked for FriendSmarts in Palo Alto, outpatient mental health clinics in Santa Clara and San Francisco counties, EMQ FamiliesFirst in Campbell, and Edgewood Children’s Center in San Francisco. She has also provided schoolbased mental health services, focusing on elementary and preschool-aged children. In addition to working with clients, Leina has functioned as a field instructor for San Jose State University, supervising and training masters-level social work interns.

Leina received her clinical social work training from the Child Study Center at Yale University, and at Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute at UCSF. She completed her Master of Social Welfare at the University of California, Berkeley, and her B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
